How to create additional matches

Only ClubOfficers (not TeamStaff) can create additional matches.

Philosophy

SFRPD allocates 5 timeslots for home matches per team.   These timeslots are to be used for league matches.  Not all timeslots get used and can be wasted.   Meanwhile, clubs are looking for additional field space to play matches for State Cup, second leagues or friendlies.   

Now ClubOfficers will be permitted to add these additional matches and attempt to select available timeslots for these additional matches.

Clubs are required to buy and pay for Timeslots for these additional matches.   Clubs will be invoiced at the end of the season.

Not all timeslots are used because:

• Teams may have a league home match outside of the timeslots season
• Teams may have fewer than 5 home league matches
• Teams may play a home match at an away venue
• Teams may acquire additional field space outside of the timeslots system

Why add Matches?

Clubs may want field space via the SFRPD TimeSlot system for friendlies, additional league matches or state cup matches.   To get field space via TimeSlots, the match must be listed in TimeSlots.   ClubStaff can create additional matches.

Create a Match

Go to ClubOfficer:Manage-Matches and click on the icon

 

Enter Match data

icons represent required data.   

Bracket is helpful

Method = "Pensra" if you want to eventually send the match to Pensra for referee assignment

Ignore GotSportID, Away Team and Team detail

Click "Create"

Terribly Important

You must include all the Requried data.  Carefully choose your data.  A mistake in PlayingLeague or Club will proagate through the database.  A mistake or missing piece of data will impact a feature somewehre - eeither at TimeSlots or at Pensra.     . 

 

 

 

Check your work

Matches should be visible immediately upon clicking 'Create'.  Check to see if the created match appears where you expect it to.

Allocate a timeslot

You should be able to allocate a timeslot in the same manner as other matches.  Currenty (July 2024) timeslot allocation cannot be done prior to 10 days before match date.   This value is controlled by the Pattern=Override rule.
