How to Upload TimeSlots
There are two techniques to add data records to the TimeSlots Table
- One TimeSlot at a Time using Mange:TimeSlots
For example adding a new TimeSlot.
- Bulk Load of new TimeSlots
For example adding TimeSlots to the system when obtaining TimeSlots from a Municipal Parks & Recreation Department or School District.
Via Manage:TimeSlots
- Via the Administrator, Staff or ClubOfficer segment visit Manage:TimeSlots
- Using the TimeSlots Criteria select a TimeSlot that has similar characteristics to the TimeSlot you wish to add.
- Edit the details of the TimeSlot (Time, Field, Rate, etc.)
- Click on 'Copy'.
You should get a Green message indicating that a new TimeSlot record has been recorded.
Bulk Load
You will need to generate a csv file and then upload the Matches
- Generate a csv (comma separated values) file
CSV files can be generated from spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel. When you save the file you will have to select the csv file format. (MacIntosh computers can have a non-compatible csv file format.)
- The csv file must have a header row
For new TimeSlots you should have Club, Date, Field, StartTime, EndTime, Type, Uxx, Method and Status as a minimum. Uxx refers to Level - please include U06 through U19. Optional is to include Rate. See below for a complete description of the possible column headings and format criteria.
- Save the csv file.
Be sure to save your work as a csv file.
- Send the file to the webmaster or Staff for uploading
Column Headings
Column headings are not case sensitive. However they MUST be spelled exactly. Technically, none of these headings are mandatory. From a practical matter, you want to include as many of these as possible. All but Rate should be considered required data.
